San Jose, CA (PRWEB) November 08, 2011

Quantum Secure, the leading provider of enterprise software to manage and streamline security identities, compliance and events across disparate physical security systems, today announced that it has deployed its SAFE physical identity and access management software solution for New Jerseys Cape May County.

With SAFE, Cape May County has simplified the management of their physical access process by automating key manual processes regarding access credential issuance, access privilege assignment and visitor identity management across their physical access control systems.

Located on the southern tip of New Jersey and facing the Delaware Bay, Cape May County includes 16 municipalities and has approximately 100,000 residents. The county offices span four major campuses and support a wide variety of employees including police, judges, nurses, county workers, contractors and other third-party employees.

To manage all cardholders in Cape May County as well as their physical access rights, the county was looking for a solution to help streamline security processes and policies regarding granting, managing, revoking and provisioning physical security identities and access privileges.

The project was initiated and managed by the Countys Facilities Department. Working closely with Cape May Countys prime integrator North American Video along with Unlimited Technologies, the County selected the Quantum Secure SAFE solution: a scalable, custom-configurable COTS software suite that works with their existing physical security infrastructure to integrate disparate physical security systems, automate key processes and simplify control of employees, visitors, vendors and other third-party identities across their global organization.

With the SAFE software suite, Cape May County has significantly streamlined their access provisioning and visitor identity management efforts, said John Palumbo, Vice President of Sales for Unlimited Technology. SAFE has not only simplified processes regarding the on- and off-boarding of identities and their access, but has provided their security team with executive-level unified reporting regarding physical access across their entire facility.

As part of the deployment, Cape May County has realized the following benefits of the SAFE physical identity & access management solution:

Cape May County security managers can automate key security processes and policies to grant, manage, revoke and provision physical security identities and access privileges for Cape May County C-CURE system
Provisions appropriate identities to the Flex Systems Guard Tour 3rd party system as part of new employee onboarding
A SAFE Self-Service portal enables Cape May County employees to request and perform their own physical access change requests and approvals, invite and manage visitors
Provides unified reporting for physical access and reports for the facility

Additionally, Cape May County has integrated SAFE Visitor Identity Manager, providing a Web-based self-service tool that unifies all of their global visitor management, visitor check-in, printing and centralized reporting functions.

SAFE Visitor Identity Manager provides flexible enrollment, validation and processing capabilities for individuals in need of temporary or long-term access. The solution also enables authorized host personnel to pre-announce visitors, which initiates a customizable visitor workflow that includes emailing hosts and visitors, identification, check-in, provisioning, and check-out functionality.

This effort is the result of a great partnership between North American Video, Unlimited Technologies and Quantum Secure, said Ajay Jain, President and CEO of Quantum Secure. Their insight and integration capabilities, combined with our award-winning SAFE physical identity and access management software, have created a dedicated solution for securing identities and access for any part of our nations infrastructure.

Get Ready To Roll: November 13 Bowl-a-thon will support Pediatric Cancer Foundation

New York, NY (PRWEB) November 08, 2011

“Every year it grows,” Eric Greenberg Goldy says with a humble and slightly mischievous smile.

He’s talking about the 4th Annual Strike Out Pediatric Cancer PCF Bowl-a-thon, an event he founded four years ago. An event that through his year-round dedication, hard work, and keen sense of how to throw a great party has indeed grown, raising over $ 80,000 its first three years after beginning as little more than a gathering of friends and extended family coming together to have some fun and to strike out pediatric cancer.

On Sunday, November 13, 2011, Greenberg Goldy will host the 4th Annual Strike Out Pediatric Cancer PCF Bowl-a-thon. The event itself is in many ways a reflection of its founder. Like Greenberg Goldy himself, the Bowl-a-thon may appear on its surface to be all about the fun – it’s a bowling party with refreshments and live music – yet just like Greenberg Goldy, the event is very purposeful.

We wanted to do something to help kids with cancer and their families, said Greenberg Goldy, currently a 10th grader.

It benefits Pediatric Cancer Foundation. PCF was established to find a cure for childhood cancer by raising money for research, state of the art equipment and parent/patient care for dedicated doctors at hospitals that receive support from PCF. And while childhood cancer has impacted a great many children in the United States, PCF receives no financial support from the federal government. Greenberg Goldy founded the Strike Out Pediatric Cancer PCF Bowl-a-thon to expand PCFs fundraising efforts and build awareness of the disease among young people.

“We’re hopeful that record numbers of people will register to participate this year to help us raise even more money in support of the fight against pediatric cancer,” Greenberg Goldy says. And he’s not alone in that hope. This year, event sponsors hope to attract more bowlers and raise more money than they ever have and they’re pulling out all the stops to make this year’s Bowl-a-thon the biggest and the best ever.

And, since the Bowl-a-thon is all about giving to others, Eric’s sister Taylor Greenberg Goldy, who recently launched her Design-a-Bag line of charity-driven canvas tote bag craft kits, Charitotes, will host a very special event within an event. Charitotes was derived from gift bags that Taylor originally created to give to sick children in hospitals. With a passion for giving, she realized she could help even more kids by creating a kit that would be available in the retail market. Bowl-a-Thon attendees will be able to create their own gift bag that will be delivered to children in local pediatric cancer units. Materials will be provided free of charge.

In addition to bowling and the opportunity for families to spend a few hours of quality time together, this kid-driven event will feature the Design-a-Bag station mentioned above courtesy of Charitotes, raffle prizes, live entertainment and refreshments. A Bowl-a-thon favorite, Gregory Hirschorn will once again have his signature designed postcards for sale to benefit Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

The 4th Annual Strike Out Pediatric Cancer PCF Bowl-a-thon will take place on Sunday, November 13th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lucky Strike Lanes located at 624-630 W. 42nd Street (between the West Side Highway and 11th Avenue) in New York City. Tickets for the event cost $ 50 and participants can log onto the Bowl-A-Thon interactive Web site at http://www.pcfbowlathon.org to register for the event, build teams and seek sponsorships.

“We’re so grateful for the support we have received over the last three years,” Greenberg Goldy says, his eyes twinkling as he dives into yet another round of Bowl-a-thon emails.
